Pr. Tatjana Stevanovic, Canada
Tatjana Stevanovic obtained her Ph.D. in wood chemistry (University of Belgrade) in 1983.
She then worked as an associate or guest professor in the universities of Laval, Nancy and Belgrade.
Her researches focus on the physical chemistry, wood chemistry, lignin chemistry, science and engineering of wood, forest extractives, polyphenols, antioxidant capacity, terpens, bioactivity, biorefining, biomaterials...
Wordwide, she is a member of many institutes and chemical companies. During the last five years, she made 30 publications.
She is currently Professor and Director of the Cooperative Program of wood engineering in the Department of Wood Science and Forest of the University of Laval.
Pr. Alessandro Gandini, Brazil
Born in Italy in 1940, Alessandro Gandini obtained his PhD in 1965 (University of Keele - UK).
He then worked as a teacher and researcher in polymer chemistry, photochemistry and physical chemistry in many countries: Switzerland, Canada, USA, France, Brazil and Portugal, as well as a visiting professor in America South Asia, North Africa...
His work focuses on polymers derived from renewable resources and the physical chemistry of surfaces and interfaces.
He has published more than 430 papers and 450 papers at international conferences, including 140 invitations also as an invited expert.
He is the author of more than 20 patents and bordered 80 Ph.D.
He also has the honor status of two universities: the Academy of Forest of St. Petersburg and the University of Havana.
